I have worked in education for twelve years. I started as a high school Spanish teacher in Loudoun County, Virginia. After working in a public school for six years, I moved to Flint Hill School, an independent school in Fairfax County. I worked as an Upper School Spanish teacher for 2 years before moving into the position of Technology Integration Specialist. I currently work as the Upper School Technology Integration Specialist and Technology Integration Department Chair for Grades JK-12.
Moving into a new role has been exciting and challenging. I have learned about the world of Educational Technology and have much more to learn. While learning and growing in my new position, I have been lucky enough to remain in the classroom. Blending the two worlds of teacher and tech specialist has been a great experience.
I hope that through this blog I can explore these two worlds and share my experience with you.
